Melody Set Me Free (the series 2009)
An extended version of the short video film Melody Set Me Free. The story continues with Patience O'brien pursuing her music career at KK Records with Bill Wright by her side. Faith, Hope, Grace Jackson, and Mama, Patience overbearing mother return and KK Queen owner of KK Queens Survey and KK Records makes her physical entrance onto the canvas. The working title for my feature film debut is OVA. I am currently working on final draft. Casting notices and announcements will be made later in the year!!!!
How Katessa Got Her Groove Back (short film - 2010-2011)
After being dumped, Katessa (Linzy) consults with friends on how to get her groove back. This is a satirical video film inspired by ‘How Stella Got Her Groove Back’ . Performers will be expected to memorize a precorded soundtrack and lipsync to it during the taping. The film is expected to clock in around 5-7min. There is pay. Roles to be cast are:
MARIA - female or drag performer in twenties or thirties.
SHEBA - female or drag performer in twenties or thirties
RITA - female or drag performer in twenties or thirties
SISTA LULU - religious woman, female or drag performer
WITCH DOCTOR - black male
MALE (MAN IN THE PICTURE) - good looking black or latino male in twenties or early thirties.
